AUGMATRIX™ BIOCOMPOSITE BONE GRAFTAugmatrix Biocomposite Bone Graft is a sterile, non-pyrogenic material intended for use in combination with autologous bone marrow for bone void filling of the pelvis and extremities. The product material is a composition of:
Carbonated apatite is a form of calcium phosphate that closely resembles the mineral phase of natural human bone. The granules are interspersed within the collagen, thereby providing an enhanced osteoconductive scaffold to support bone remodeling. The scaffold is highly porous (80%) to allow absorption of bone marrow aspirate (BMA) and contains ample surface area for cell attachment.
FUTURE PRODUCTSBioMimetic is committed to becoming the world’s premier orthobiologic solutions provider. Our goal is to strategically incorporate additional product lines into the Augmatrix family that complement our existing orthobiologic portfolio by providing solutions to indications for which our rhPDGF-BB-based offerings will not specifically be indicated. The Augmatrix Biocomposite Bone Graft product family is available in a variety of configurations:
A sterile, single-use 11 gauge needle (4”) is also available to assist with bone marrow aspiration. Upon saturation with BMA, Augmatrix Biocomposite Bone Graft may be manipulated as desired. This flexible structure allows the grafts to be shaped based on patient anatomy and surgical environment.
